Check in & check out

Check-in online up 48 hours before arrival and collect your key from the reception – open 24 hours a day.

Rooms guaranteed from 4pm but usually ready by 2pm. Check-in early from 11am for just £15.

Latest check-out is 10:30am or you can extend your stay ’til 2pm for just £25.

Parking

Being in the town centre we do not have any car parking of our own, but we can help you find parking when you arrive.

There is a loading bay right outside for you to load and unload your luggage.

On-street pay and display parking overnight, or up to 2 hours in the day, just 30 seconds away. Long stay car park just 2 minutes away.

Furry friends

Yes, being a family of dog lovers we are dog friendly.

We must be informed if you are bringing your furry friend prior to your arrival – select the dog add-on when booking.

We welcome fully house trained dogs over 12 months old and subject to section 10 of our terms and conditions.

We are a 300 year old listed building and do not have a lift, nor do we have any ground floor rooms, I’m afraid.

If you have limited mobility or any additional requirements, please contact us prior to booking.

Yes, reception is open and available 24 hours a day.

Yes, we provide a bath mat, bath and hand towels in every room. You can request new towels after two nights.

Double beds = 4ft 6in

Single beds = 3ft

All of our rooms are en-suite and have a bath tub. We do not have any showers.

Some rooms may have a shower hose attachment, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Yes, every room has a kettle as well as tea, coffee, sugar and cups – replenished daily by housekeeping if required.

Yes, each room has a hairdryer located in the top of the wardrobe or in the top drawer.

No, our rooms do not have [mini] fridges. We can store medication for you – please contact us to arrange this before your arrival.

Yes, iron and ironing boards are provided upon request to housekeeping or reception.

Yes, complementary WiFi is provided throughout the hotel – including bedrooms.

We do not accept children under the age of 16 and we cannot accommodate babies or infants.

Those aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

At least one guest in each room must be aged 18+.

We are a room-only hotel, so do not serve breakfast or dinner.

We may have some breakfast pots available to purchase from the bar.

There are lots of local eateries, cafés, restaurants and pubs nearby and in walking distance – reception can point you in the right direction.

If we organised your ferry travel for you then please contact us to request a change.

The ferry operator will be unable to speak with you direct due to data protection, so please don’t contact them yourselves.

If you made your own travel arrangements, please contact the company you booked with.

VAT invoices are automatically issued by email at 8:30am on your departure day. To request a copy invoice please contact us.

Our VAT registration number is GB 411 351 308.

If you booked direct with us by telephone, email or on our website, please contact us.

If you booked via a third party website or company, please contact them initially and make the request. You may be able to do this through your online account with them.

By car

We can book your car or vehicle ferry travel for you from Southampton to East Cowes, and return, with Red Funnel from £79 to £119 per car in 2026.

Select the car ferry add-on when booking or contact us to add it onto an existing booking. Tell us your preferred sailing times; we’ll book it subject to availability, and send you your ticket.

Or you can book your own Wightlink crossing from Portsmouth > Fishbourne or Lymington > Yarmouth.

Follow signs for Newport Town Centre via A3054.

On foot or bike

We can book your bike or foot passenger catamaran travel for you from Southampton to West Cowes, and return, with Red Funnel’s Red Jet for just £35 per person in 2026.

Select the passenger ferry add-on when booking or contact us to add it onto an existing booking. Tell us your preferred sailing times; we’ll book it subject to availability, and send you your ticket.

Or you can book your own Wightlink crossing from Portsmouth Harbour > Ryde Pier or with Hovertravel from Southsea > Ryde.

Buses etc.

Buses are easily accessible once you arrive on the island, or there’s taxi ranks adjacent.

Southern Vectis operate buses around the island, with a stop just over the road from us at Newport Bus Station, a two minute walk from our front door, and with a brand new fleet of electric powered buses!

If you’re arriving into Cowes, you’ll need bus route 1.

If you’re arriving into Ryde, you’ll need bus route 9.
